Descriptive

Paragraph roleplay (para and/or para+) is roleplay written in detailed paragraphs, often resembling excerpts from a novel. Unlike shorter, one-line or few-word responses, Para-RP focuses on conveying a richer narrative, including character thoughts, feelings, and actions, as well as descriptions of the setting and atmosphere.

Elaborate Descriptions
Para-RP emphasizes descriptive writing, aiming to immerse the reader in the scene and character's experience.
Setting and Atmosphere
Paragraphs often include details about the environment, time of day, weather, and other elements that contribute to the overall atmosphere of the scene
Character Development
Players delve into their characters' internal states, motivations, and personalities, not just their actions.
Linear and Plot-Driven
While exceptions exist, para-RP often follows a more linear narrative structure with a clear plot or storyline.
Varied Paragraph Lengths
Paragraphs can range in length, but they generally consist of multiple sentences (e.g., 3-5 or more).

Post Order

In text-based roleplay, post order refers to the agreed-upon sequence in which players take turns making their in-character contributions to a scene or game session. This ensures that everyone gets a chance to participate and helps the story unfold in an organized way.

Establishing the Order
The post order is usually determined by the sequence in which players initially contribute to a scene. For instance, if Alice posts first, followed by Ben, and then Charlie, their posting order for that scene becomes Alice → Ben → Charlie.
Following the Order
Players are expected to maintain this established sequence throughout the scene.

Flexibility and Considerations
Joining a Scene: If a player joins a scene later, their turn place typically is where their entry post lands or the group can decide where they fit into the existing post order.
Small Groups: In smaller groups or private roleplays, the post order is often agreed upon out-of-character (OOC).
Short Posts: In groups of 3+, consider shorter posts (e.g., 2-3 sentences) to maintain a faster pace.
Breaking Order: Occasionally, a player may break the turn order, especially if their character is directly addressed by another character, but this should be kept infrequent.
Game Masters (GM): GMs, or those in a similar role, often have the flexibility to intervene in the post order when needed to move the story forward.
Skipping a Turn: If a player has nothing to contribute during their turn, they can signal that they're skipping their turn with a brief emote or by stating "skip me" in an OOC comment.
